UPDATE!!! Democrat Majority Refuses to Publicize Health Care Negotiations!!!
House Democrats are refusing to let the public in on the negotiations that must now occur to reconcile the Senate and House health care legislation, despite President Obama's oft-repeated promise that such negotiations would be broadcast on C-SPAN for the American people to see. In the above video, House Republicans ask "What are they hiding?"
C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb offered to provide a medium for fulfilling President Obama’s promise and sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid requesting they allow all health care negotiations to be broadcast live. You can view the C-SPAN letter by clicking here.
The Democrat Majority should allow C-SPAN to broadcast all the health care negotiations. Representative Vern Buchanan has introduced a resolution (H. Res. 847) supporting public negotiations and meetings of health care legislation. Congressman Davis joined 150 of his colleagues in co-sponsoring this resolution. For an updated list of co-sponsors, or more information on the resolution, visit www.thomas.loc.gov and search H. Res. 847.

On November 4th, House Republicans released our alternative health care reform legislation, the Common Sense Health Care Reform and Affordability Act (H.R. 4038). The Common Sense Health Care Reform and Affordability Act includes smart, fiscally responsible reforms to lower health care costs and increase access to health coverage.
H.R. 4038 would allow Americans to buy insurance across State lines, encourage innovative solutions within individual States, prevents insurance companies from unjustly cancelling coverage or instituting lifetime spending caps and puts an end to lawsuit abuse.
Here you can find the text, summaries and reading guides to the major proposals in the House and Senate.
