The Congressional Arts Caucus is coordinating “An Artistic Discovery,” an annual art show crafted for students.  As your U.S. Representative, I invite any high school student residing in the Fourth District to participate in the 2012 Fourth Congressional District Art Competition.

This competition provides a wonderful opportunity for young artists.  All participants’ artwork will be on display at the Boone County Library’s Main Branch and on my website.  The entry selected to represent the Fourth Congressional District of Kentucky will be displayed in our nation’s Capitol for one year as part of an exhibition comprised of artwork from across the country.  Thanks to a partnership between the Congressional Arts Caucus and Southwest Airlines, the winner will be offered two plane tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the ribbon cutting for this showcase.

Entries must be submitted to any one of my district offices by 5:00 p.m. on April 27th.  With each entry, please include a completed entry form.

All art will be on display at the Library from May 1st through May 10th.  The art will then be available for pick-up at my offices beginning on May 15th.  Though all entries do not need to be framed before submission to the office, the winning piece will need to be framed before the Congressional Art Caucus will accept it as part of the national show.  Please click here for more guidelines and information.

If you have any additional questions, contact Katie Hushebeck in my Fort Mitchell office at (859) 426-0080.
