The U.S. Department of Labor is one of our government’s largest agencies.  It is responsible for everything from wages to pensions to mine safety, and its responsibilities are delegated between more than a dozen different administrative offices.

Here are some frequently asked questions that my office receives about matters covered by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to my medical benefits if I lose my job or if I am terminated?

Where can I find answers to questions about retirement or group health benefits provided by a private sector employer?

What if I am a federal employee and need help with a worker’s compensation issue?

What if I have a workplace safety issue?

What if my employer owes me overtime pay or back wages?
